Sam's Nails

Hey nail lovers!!! Esmee here, the one behind Drip on Nails, and I want to introduce Sam.

Sam started as a customer, but now she’s a really good friend of mine. And honestly, when you do nails, you’re bound to find new friends along the way… and that’s exactly what happened with us.

While talking and giggling late at night in the salon, Sam lets me fully roam my creative side, something that is so precious to me, and I know it is for a lot of other nail techs too.

Nail art products allow us to truly create stunning designs in a way you can’t really do with most other art forms. We can use glitters, cat-eye effects, chrome powders, matte topcoats, every color under the sun… but also syrup gels and glass gels. I could honestly go on and on.

My point is: customers like Sam are special. They believe in you, they trust the process, and they bring out the best in you.

Our sessions are always planned at night, when she is the last client, so we can really take our time and focus on creating something cool. And to be honest, it’s not always perfect right away, but she lets me do me. She pushes me a little further, and then we create together.

Sam is now our hand model for the website, not only because of her gorgeous hands, but because of her patience, enthusiasm, and love for nail art.

And here’s the fun part: every design you see featured on the homepage will be broken down here on the blog. I’ll show you exactly what products we used, step-by-step, so you can recreate the looks yourself. I’ll also add direct links to all the gels, powders, and tools we used.

Welcome to Sam’s Nails.

The First set!

Sam’s Christmas Nails The First Ever Drip Set

This is the very first nail set we created for the Drip on Nails shop — a festive Christmas look with deep red, sparkling glitter, and 3D rose charms.

1. The Base Volume Up Gel 02

We started with ICEGEL Volume Up Base Gel, using it as a strengthening overlay. In Korea and Japan this is often called an overlay rather than a thick BIAB — it creates structure and strength while staying lightweight. We built a soft apex, then cured.

2. The Color Seal Brown 1090

Next, we applied our base color: Seal Brown from the Dulce Burgundy set. ICEGEL colors are known for their rich pigmentation, often giving beautiful coverage in just one coat.

3. The Sparkle Mystic Flash “Onyx” 1545

To finish the look, we layered Onyx from the Mystic Flash collection. No photo truly captures it the reflective glitter is unreal, especially under flash.

4. The Roses 3D Charm Placement

For the rose nails, we applied a thin layer of Volume Up Base Gel, left it uncured, and placed the 3D rose charms into the gel. Then we cured everything in place.

5. Sealing the Edges Parts Cover Gel (Non-Wipe)

Around the roses, we filled the gaps with ICEGEL Parts Cover Gel. This gel is non-wipe, meaning it cures glossy with no sticky layer perfect for sealing the edges of nail parts.

6. The Final Finish Top Coat

To complete the set, we finished with Crystal Top Gel 10 for a super glossy, long-lasting surface. On nails without charms, we top coated the entire nail. On nails with roses, we top coated carefully around the charm, never over the 3D petals. Crystal Top Gel 10 is also non-wipe, so once cured, the nails are fully finished.

All products used in this set are linked below, so you can recreate this look step by step.
